What is a Registered Investment Advisor?

Registered Investment Advisors are advisors who are registered with the state or with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Not all 'advisors' are required to be registered. In fact, the majority aren't. RIAs are held to a higher level of disclosure (of fees and conflicts of interest) than other investment advisors. In addition, RIAs owe a "fiduciary duty" to their clients. Our firm is specifically structured in this manner because we want our clients to know as much as they need to know about us before and while we are working together.

When working with Personal Asset Management you establish a relationship with a "Fee-Only" Registered Investment Advisor whose fiduciary responsibility requires prudent management and that your interests come first.
